@<d> insert definition <d> from pattern definition file here @@<d>(<P>) same but use <P> for Parameter in definition Macro Even as pattern definitions can be used for SEARCH patterns, so can definitions be used for REPLACE patterns. The same basic features apply except that any magic characters are parsed and interpreted from the standpoint of EDIT REPLACE magic. The definitions are affected by option -k@<d> that gives an alternate file list <d> that contains replacement pattern definitions. Example: pdgreppe "<PC>" -kekikwkr"@bigBlue" file_id.diz ..."<PC>" finds the WORD "PC" in file_id.diz and -kr"@bigBlue &" digs out the definition for "bigBlue" out of ere.def, and replaces its definition "IBM" before all of what was found (&) or the string "PC" in the output. See the previous section PDGREPPE Definitions as used in Search patterns. See PDGREPPE Search Definitions. See PDGREPPE Pattern Definition Language.
